.67 ct. Fluorescent Malaya Garnet
Garnet from a recent discovery in Tanzania in early 2022. These malaya were found to be a predominant mix of pyrope and spessartine. The color pallet of these garnets is a result of the unique mixture of manganese, iron, vanadium and chromium. Light delicate color with a subtle color shift depending on lighting and they are also UV active which was once thought impossible for non grossular garnet! This material is also called dragon garnet by some in the gem trade.
